Smart Education

Education is essential in breaking the cycle of hunger, poverty and ignorance. It lays the foundation for sustained economic growth. These initiatives encourage and empower the minds and hearts of the future teachers, doctors, engineers and others, who will go on to influence their communities, nations and ultimately the world. Our Smart Education programme promotes literacy rate, improves standards of education and strengthens the education system through diminishing problems in access to quality education by the neglected classes of the society. Our NGO – Noida Lok Manch is working for upliftment of under-privileged community for spreading quality education among downtrodden and deprived children.

Education Support Programme

The District Administration, Distt. Gautam Budh Nagar, Noida has given us Eleven Government Primary Schools in the Bisrakh Block Area for the improvement in their overall education. Since the mandate given by the District Administration is limited, our focus will be on:-

Providing basic infrastructure like toilet facilities, power connections, swachhata abhiyan etc.
Installing solar plant to provide solar power
Providing computers and computer class for 4th and 5th class. If it is feasible for 3rd class, it will be pursued also.
Supplement with books, storey-telling, posters etc. so as to make it more interesting.
Organize on voluntary basis after the class period extra-curricular activities like music, martial arts, skill development etc.
Organizing functions in every quarter to encourage the students and motivate them for patriotic feelings, social service and creative activities.
To pursue supplementary remedial teaching/Purak Shiksha
To provide Teaching Aids along with games and audio visual facility.
To organize health check-up camps for students and teachers.
To organize story-telling sessions and various competition.
Recognition and awards to good students and teachers
To provide uniform/shoes to have-nots students.
Visit to schools by our volunteers twice a week to follow up the basic needs of the schools.
The children are basically from the tenant families, the migratory labour and from the weaker strata of society and used to sit on the floor in the school.
Inadequate teaching staff is also there. Our educated volunteers will render their services atleast two hours daily to help the school staff in teaching etc.

Chetna Shivir

Noida Lok Manch had organized a ‘Chetna Shivir’ of about 431 students in Noida from 20th to 25th October, 2015. The inauguration Ceremony was commemorated on 20th October, 2015 at 11.00 AM by Shri Prabhat Kumar, Former Governor, Jharkhand and former Cabinet Secretary, Govt. of India and Chairman of Noida Lok Manch. The main objective of the Shivir was:

To ignite and liberate the mind of the students through holistic education imparted in the Shivir.
To awaken their minds to the positive spirit of inquisitiveness.
Importance of basic human value in shaping the character of individual.
The role of family and society in bridging the gaps in education and character building.
A good understanding of India’s heritage, its contribution of world civilization.
Awakening national pride in all.
Enabling the present generation to internalize the values and to enhance the capacity to take value based decisions.
Importance of social cohesion and religious amity to realize ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbukam.’
Meditation and Pranayam for a peaceful, corrective and active mind.
To generate awareness amongst the students on the ecological balances, climate change, global warming, sustainable development and to meet the challenges of man- made and natural disaster.

NOIDA PUBLIC LIBRARY

(Managed by Noida Lok Manch)

It is the only District Public Library in the Gautam Budh Nagar District.

Having a covered area of 630 sq. meters at Ground floor, Noida Public Library (NPL) is being managed by Noida Lok Manch since June, 2002 through its own initiative and support for the benefits of the public and the students preparing for the Competitive examinations and with a vision to upgrade and equip the library to make it a versatile Community Utility Centre humming with creative activities.

There are 7 Reading Halls in the first floor of the Library having a capacity ranging from 35 to 65 readers/students per room.

Lockers facilities are available to the students/readers/Members.

Students who are preparing for Civil Services Examination, C.As, Banks’ P.O., SSC and other State services examinations are taking the advantages of this library by using the reference books.

There is a separate Newspapers’ Reading Room. Noida Lok Manch will soon be undertaking the monthly mentoring of students who are preparing for the competitive examinations as well as at village levels.

NLM is proposed to involve the local leadership for mentoring at the grass-root level as well.

Canteen facility is available to its Members.

Computerization of the Library is in the final stage and very soon will be the only computerized library in Gautam Budh Nagar District.

It is an excellent ‘Centre for Learning’ and ‘Career Counselling’.

NPL with its innovative ideas is trying to inculcate among the youth the spirit of nationalism for which NOIDA has the privilege of having very Senior/Rich Talent Persona in different fields like administrative, technical, engineering judiciary, banking, business etc. and will utilize their services in mentoring the students/Members of the Library for the competitive examinations.

To inculcate in the youth the feeling of nation building and bring them into the main stream of national development instead of their madness for civil services only.

Noida Lok Manch with its committed volunteers and with the help of Noida Authority and patrons are trying its best to provide excellent facilities to its Members/Readers.

Office: 09.00 AM to 6.00 PM Daily except declared holidays.

Reading Rooms: 08.00 AM to 10.00 PM All seven days in a week except declared holidays.

Sanskar Kendra Schools

Noida Lok Manch (NLM) is fully subscribed to the view that education is the cornerstone to economic development, and the strength of Indian masses can be channelized by education alone.

The real future of India lies in its thousands of faceless little towns and villages, where millions of boys and girls lie awake at night, dreaming of what could be.

Noida Lok Manch, through its trust, opened four Sanskar Kendra Schools (Co-edu) in Noida, District Gautam Budh Nagar, U.P., from Nursery to Class-VIII, for imparting value-based education to economically and socially disadvantaged students.

The Sanskar Kendra Schools were established in the year 1997 with an aim to uplift the children of downtrodden, neglected and deprived sections of society/villages.

The schools are situated in villages:

Sarfabad, Sector 73
Garhi Chaukhandi, Sector 68
Hoshiarpur, Sector 51
Gulawali, Sector 162

Total student strength across all four schools is around 1200 students (girls & boys). They are provided with:

Free meals
Books
Uniforms
Computer training
200 ml fresh milk daily (Nursery & KG classes)

Vocational training classes are conducted daily in the afternoon from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, aiming to make them self-sufficient when they step out from the schools.

The schools are recognized by NIOS.

Listening to the inner voice of their hearts that something novel should be done and repaid to the society from which they got laurels, many individuals from the higher strata of society — like retired IAS officers, academicians, retired teachers, principals and women volunteers from very highly educated families — are contributing their rich experience to help run the schools.

Surely, the students will feel enlightened and enriched by their presence. The students have brought laurels and can compete with any other good students of public and convent schools.

Regular inter-school and inter-village school competitions such as:

Rangoli
Poster making
Drawing
Sports
Hindi and English word competitions

are arranged from time to time for their all-round development.

The schools are administered by Mrs. Leeka Saxena, who has passionately articulated the schools’ vision, pedagogy, and curriculum. She has the ability to develop a culture of learning within the schools that brings out the best in every student and teacher.

The schools have professionally qualified and innovative teachers with excellent communication skills and passion for teaching. The teachers have voluntarily taken up the noble profession to teach and guide the students with a meagre monthly honorarium.

Airtel selected five students from the two Sanskar Kendra Schools and published their stories in a book titled ‘Udaan’. In collaboration with Airtel, Amish Tripathi, one of India’s best-selling authors, wrote the book featuring these five students.

Airtel launched the ‘Paanch Nanhi Kalme’ video at the 2016 Jaipur Literature Festival, giving these five students from rural India a platform for their creativity. These students are now not only published authors, but also an inspiration to young writers across the country.

Airtel has taken the responsibility to bear their educational expenses.
